Community of Practice
Community of Practice
As part of the WAEH membership members have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience during annual meetings, webinars, bilateral meetings and also during Community of Practice meetings. These initiatives embody WAEH’s core values of knowledge sharing and collaboration, creating a dynamic and supportive environment for eyecare professionals around the world. Currently we have two running Communities of Practice: one for Human Resources professionals and one for nurses and allied health staff.
The Community of Practice Human Resources and the Community of Practice for Nurses and Allied Health are online meetings organized by the WAEH where professionals come together to connect, learn and grow.
We discuss important topics such as the impact of research on clinical practice, managing work pressure, task delegation, and creating career development opportunities. These meetings allow members to share their expertise, exchange personal experiences, and offer valuable resources, fostering a supportive environment for continuous growth in our roles.
In conclusion, the WAEH membership provides invaluable chances for members to participate in knowledge exchange and experiential learning across various platforms. These include annual meetings, webinars, bilateral discussions, and the gatherings of the Community of Practice.
