Arevalo Receives Alvaro Rodriguez Medal

Congratulations to J. Fernando Arevalo, M.D., Ph.D., the Edmund F. and Virginia Ball Professor of Ophthalmology, on receiving the 2023 Alvaro Rodriguez Medal in Bogata, Colombia Jan. 21. Dr. Avevalo gave the accompanying lecture, “From Hypotheses to Clinical Evidence in Retinal Therapy.” Arevalo is pictured with Dr. Francisco Rodriguez, director of FUNDONAL.


Developing the Next Great Optometrist

Congratulations Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine will debut its optometry residency program this year, with its first resident matriculating in July. The new program will train burgeoning optometrists in primary care optometry. More info here!
