The Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) is a not-for-profit Medical Research Institute affiliated with University of Melbourne and based at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. We are an international leader in eye research, Australia’s only WHO Collaborating Centre for the prevention of blindness, and home to the largest ophthalmic clinical trials unit in Australia. CERA and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital have a Joint Research Strategy, and work in partnership for the benefit of patients today and in the future.
In this presentation, we will explore how CERA researchers are using innovative new technologies to diagnose and treat eye disease, and ultimately reduce the burden of blindness worldwide.
