News from our member Kellogg Eye Center
A $60,000 anonymous bequest has been made to support the Kellogg partnership with the Kisii Eye Hospital in rural Kenya. It will extend the capabilities of community-based vision centers to provide primary ophthalmic care. The vision centers are staffed by technicians trained to identify conditions that require referral for more specialized care at the Kisii Eye Hospital, a distributed care model highly inspired by the Aravind Eye Care System in Southern India.
