Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC), Sun Yat-sen University, stands as the largest and leading institution for eye care in China. With a rich history spanning 60 years, ZOC has consistently provided comprehensive eye services and conducted cutting-edge research.

Notably, ZOC proudly hosts the esteemed State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, the only one of its kind in China and renowned for its high-impact publications and global reputation. 

ZOC’s dedication to international collaboration is exemplified by its designation as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Eye Care and Vision. Additionally, ZOC serves as the headquarters for the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology and the Asian office of the Afro-Asian Council of Ophthalmology.
